A former 17th-century coaching inn, the hotel is incredibly dog-friendly. You and your furry family members will love exploring the miles of footpaths trailing through the National Park, with countless walks beginning on your doorstep. The charming 'Old Wing' dates back to 1757, to the 'Wharfedale Wing' which was added in 1981 by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire. For those looking for the ultimate in relaxation, look no further than the fabulous spa featuring sauna, steam room, pool, Rasul and Jacuzzi. A fabulous range of treatments are available and there is also a swimming pool and is decorated with artwork from the Chatsworth's Devonshire Collection, one of the finest private art collections in Europe.

The award-winning 3AA Rosette Burlington Restaurant offers a seasonal tasting menu featuring the finest locally sourced ingredients. Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from the hotel’s own kitchen garden. You and your four-legged family members are welcome to enjoy the ever-popular afternoon tea, and the cosy lounge bar. The Brasserie offers guests a more modern gastro-menu featuring some of Yorkshire's favourite dishes. Dine with Your Dog

You have the option of pre-dinner drinks or desserts served in the dog lounge – an elegant sitting room with an open fire and canine-inspired décor and artwork. Alternatively, you can dine with your dog in the bar area of the Brasserie restaurant. If you prefer you may leave your dog in the room or they can be looked after by reception. The 3AA Rosette Burlington Restaurant serves a classic but fresh and exciting menu with Head Chef Peter Howarth brilliantly demonstrating his culinary expertise with inspiring seasonal dishes. Produce is plucked from the kitchen's own garden or sourced locally.

All rooms are dog-friendly and individually decorated. Each of the rooms offer something different with some boasting impressive four-poster beds and even some four-posters for your dog! All rooms are furnished with your utmost comfort in mind; king-size beds, fluffy bathrobes, Temple Spa toiletries, flat screen TVs and complimentary Wi-fi. The hotel also offers several thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles, a choice of duvets or blankets, feather or non-feather pillow options, herbal teas, coffee and hot chocolate.

Classic Rooms

Mostly located in the new wing of the hotel, the Classic Rooms are known for their superb garden views, with many overlooking the Italian box garden or a landscaped area surrounding the hotel. These rooms are located in the New Wing, on the ground and first floor of the hotel. The bedrooms are individually styled in a classic contemporary style and all enjoy 5ft king size beds, with some twin beds an option where requested.

Deluxe Rooms

The Deluxe Rooms exude elegance, each with individual style and classic contemporary decor. The views from these rooms are stunning, looking out over the Estate, surrounding Yorkshire Dales and Beamsley Beacon. They really do add to the experience of enjoying the best of Yorkshire living. The Deluxe Rooms offer either a 5ft king size bed, 6ft super king bed, or the option for twin beds upon request. Please note, one of the deluxe rooms is located in the old wing of the hotel, featuring more traditional country-house interiors, a walk-in shower and a view towards the Devonshire Spa. This room is available upon request.

Luxury Rooms

Located in the 18th-century part of the house, or Old Wing, Luxury Double Rooms offer King, Twin or Four Poster bed options. The rooms are sumptuously and individually decorated and named after the local family connections. Enjoy views towards the Huffa Bridge and side garden or over the Italian box garden and hills and dales beyond. The four poster rooms are bookable on request. The Superior Rooms are located within both the 18th century Old Wing and New Wing parts of the house and are named after the local family connections. Each is decorated individually with sumptuous fabrics and classical contemporary style. Choose from a Super King or Four Poster bed, with twin rooms available upon request. (This room category can accommodate an extra bed if required). The Superior Rooms overlook the Italian box garden or offer views of Huffa Bridge and surrounding Yorkshire Dales.
