About this property

The Dial House is an elegant and dog-friendly three-storey Georgian restaurant with rooms dating back to 1728, taking its name from the large square sundial mounted on its mellow red-brick exterior. Tucked away in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, you are perfectly situated just half an hour away from both the Heritage Coastline and the Norfolk Broads so there are endless rural rambles to explore with fido in tow. This hidden gem lies in one of Norfolk’s least spoilt market towns overlooking the historic market square of Reepham with it’s cluster of independent shops, a medieval church and a traditional pub that give this spot an old-fashioned charm. Boasting luxury bedrooms and cosy dining spaces, you and your canine companion can enjoy the most comfortable of stays. Enjoy everything from leisurely breakfasts and a decadently adorned cake trolley, to spectacular Sunday lunches and made to order picnic baskets complete with a local map ideal for days out; which for special occasions can even include a bottle of wine or champagne. The Dial House is filled with unique and eclectic objet d’art - look closely around you and you’ll notice that all items are ticketed for sale, from big to small, practical to impractical; and almost all are one-off’s. The beguiling nature of The Dial House will leave you wanting to return, and no doubt each visit will be filled with new discoveries.

Dine with Your Dog

Dine with your dog all through the day and evening in the front and side rooms and also on the terrace. Log burners are lit during winter, seasonal cocktails accompany you on the terrace in summer – with a hot water bottle if needed! Perfect for a pet-friendly getaway at any time of year. Executive chef Andrew jones is inspired by the wealth of local produce available, creating seasonal menus cooked using the Bertha charcoal oven wherever possible. The luxury bistro a la carte menu echoes its grand Georgian setting and is the perfect fit for the chandelier lit restaurant; while the more casual lounge menu features dishes which can be taken in the pastel velvet armchairs of the garden room, on the sun-drenched terrace or in the eclectically styled exposed brick cellar.

Bow wow factor

Must be the fantastic location, perfect for both coastal and country pups! Plus of course the handmade dog biscuits created by the pastry chef...

Bedrooms & Suites

These boutique rooms include weird and wonderful curiosities, enormous bath tubs, marble bathrooms, drench showers, state of the art sound systems and vinyl record players and come equipped with a fridge containing fresh milk and water and tea and coffee making facilities. Four-legged friends are provided with their very own crate should this help them to relax during their stay, and guests are kindly asked to observe the 'paws on floors' policy.

The Print Room

The Print Room is a luxury double filled with eclectic artwork. The styling is inspired by the exclusively English phenomenon of filling an entire room with a collection of prints brought back from travelling. Very personal spaces, prints were arranged adorning the walls in a ‘skyed’ fashion and also displayed under glass cases or in leather bound books. Stationers and printers of the time sold all manner of embellishments; paper frames, ribbon swags and decorative paper.
