The River Tay runs through Dunkeld, and there are lots of spots to take in the scenery, whether it's from the cathedral grounds or the Taybank pub, where you could be lucky enough to hear some live music. The town itself dates from the 9th century and has a rich history spanning the Dark and Middle Ages to more modern history, including Thomas Telford's Tay bridge.
