About this property

Dog-friendly Durbaville Cottage in Dorset, located in Greenwood Grange, is a perfect getaway destination when you’re travelling with your pooch. Set in the heart of the countryside next to 66 acres of stunning woodland and near to the cliff top walks along the spectacular Jurassic Coast, it is a treasure trove of stunning dog walks. Award-winning and eco-friendly, Greenwood Grange is a collection of ancient brick, stone and slate barns and outbuildings that have been transformed into luxury accommodation. Greenwood Grange was created within and around buildings built by Thomas Hardy's father in the 19th century, with the cottage where Hardy was born located only a few hundred yards away. In the grounds at Greenwood Grange, there is a huge range of facilities for everyone to enjoy, from tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool to croquet and a games room.

Dine with Your Dog

Durbaville Cottage is well-equipped for self-catering, but if you would like to explore a little local flavour, there are a number of dog-friendly cafés, pubs and restaurants nearby, including Under The Greenwood Tree Café located just opposite the entrance to Greenwood Grange. Dogs are welcome inside the café and are even treated with free gravy bones!

Bow wow factor

There is a fully enclosed dog exercise area within the grounds and 66-acres of land where your dog can run off the lead!
