There is a historic castle with walled garden and shop, both of which are dog friendly and great for a picnic!

You’ll no doubt spend most of your days exploring the surrounding countryside but when you fancy putting your feet up, stop by the Verbena Spa for a pampering treatment or two! Relax pool-side with fido in tow - the heated outdoor pool makes this an idyllic break all year-round for ultimate relaxation Dogs are welcome on the decked terrace, alas, not in the pool with the humans.

The restaurant serves an ever changing menu focusing on locally source produce for lunch and dinner, with afternoon tea a particular highlight. The main restaurant is not dog friendly but if you want to dine with your dog, a table can be set up for you to enjoy the full menu in the comfort of the adjoining lounge.

The dog friendly rooms at The Feversham Arms are either located in the traditional main house or the modern poolside building. We would recommend either the Main House Suites or Poolside Suites giving you ample living space as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom.

Surrounded on all sides by the North York Moors National Park and with rolling acres of the Duncombe Park Estate within walking distance, you and your pet can spend the weekend relaxing, unwinding and indulging.

Bedrooms & Suites

Almost all of the bedrooms at the Feversham Arms are dog-friendly, with the exception of the spa suites. Each has its own unique décor, style and character and features Egyptian cotton sheets, soft exquisite duck down duvets or cotton blankets if you prefer. The bathrooms are all furnished with luxurious Temple Spa toiletries.

Our Classic Rooms are individually styled, situated in the original grade 2 listed area of the hotel and are front facing with views of the street below. Some of these rooms have a king-size bed, whilst others are cosy with double beds. Most of these rooms have a bathroom with shower over bath, however a couple have a stand alone shower only. These rooms are cosy but perfect if you’re looking for a base whilst enjoying our facilities and the local area.

Main House Suite

The Main House Suites are light and airy with a separate lounge area and king-size bed. They also feature an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate bath. These suites are located around the hotel, and all have a different style. Some overlook the road, or are up in the eaves of the hotel, whilst others overlook the pool.

Situated in the spa wing of the hotel, the spa suites showcase a modern country chic aesthetic characterized by neutral tones. Certain suites feature balconies with inviting seating areas that offer scenic views of either the pool or the charming churchyard, while others boast Juliet balconies. Each suite is equipped with a well-appointed en-suite, featuring a spacious walk-in shower and a separate bathtub for added luxury.

Dine with Your Dog

The Feversham Arms’ restaurant, The Weathervane, has its roots firmly planted in the north but don’t be surprised to see some of its dishes take a slightly different direction. All the produce used is locally sourced and the menu is led by the seasons. Indulge from the à la carte dining selection in the main restaurant or why not enjoy the equally delicious lounge menu. Four-legged friends are unable to join you in the restaurant but can be left to put their paws up in your room for a short while. If you do want to dine with your pet, the hotel staff will happily set you and your pooch up in the bar lounge. When you do want to venture out for food, there are a selection of eateries to enjoy that are only a three-minute walk from the Feversham Arms!
