About this property

A beautifully-presented, traditional terraced stone cottage, located in the coastal village of Arnside, nestled beneath the woods of Arnside Knott in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Tastefully furnished throughout with an array of traditional features, this cosy cottage is perfect for family or friends who wish to be able to walk from the door to discover the delights of the estuary, stunning local countryside and plethora of wildlife. This delightful cottage combines traditional features with modern convenience, with the sitting room boasting a large period cast-iron tiled fireplace, whilst the dining room has leather armchairs and a large fireplace housing a woodburning stove. The stylish cream kitchen with granite surfaces and Belfast sink has French doors leading out to the delightful south-facing rear courtyard. Up on the first floor is a spacious bathroom, which has a cast-iron bath, glass shower and stone floor with underfloor heating, and the two welcoming bedrooms offer a comfortable night’s sleep after a busy day exploring all the sights that this area has to offer. This superb holiday home is ideally situated to explore Arnside Knott, along with seeing the stunning vista of Morecambe Bay estuary, viaduct to Grange-over-Sands and the far hills of the Lakes. The coastal walk has woodland dipping to the shore path finishing back at Arnside, and afterwards why not sample the local produce at the cafes or enjoy refreshments at the award-winning pubs serving food and local ales? Also the popular Arnside fish and chip restaurant/takeaway is a must and at correct tide levels you will see the fishermen and herons hunting for supper on the shore line. In neighbouring Silverdale, there is Leighton Moss RSPB, a golf course and Wolf House gallery with its excellent café. Also in the area are Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle with their fabulous gardens, and the Lake District National Park is only a 25 minute drive away with its many attractions. This wonderful cottage is ideal for couples, friends and family all year round.
