All the bedrooms at The Fox & Hounds have been uniquely designed, each with its own special character. We recommend the rear facing rooms which overlook the hotel’s lovely gardens and have views all the way over the river to Heywood Forest and up to Eggesford Church, or the ground floor rooms with their own patios and private access to the grounds. All furry guests will be provided with a blanket, bowls, and treats and there's a wash station available with towels for muddy paws after long country walks.

Standard Rooms

A comfortable King Size bed with flat screen TV and radio, hot drink making facilities, hairdryer and toiletries. Some of the standard rooms offer twin beds. Standard rooms can comfortably fit a cot or child bed if you are bringing the little ones.

The largest and most luxurious rooms, Superior Rooms feature flat-screen TVs and radios, hot drink making facilities, hairdryer, fluffy bathrobes and luxury toiletries. With either Four Poster or King Size beds, all are furnished to a high standard. One superior room on the ground floor has two double beds and a double sofa bed with space for a cot if required.

Compact and cosy with double beds, the Cosy Doubles have full ensuite shower facilities, TV, tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer. Great for one or nice and cosy for two!

Heywood suite

Heywood suite is a ground floor spacious suite with mini kitchen, deck overlooking the garden, double ended bath plus separate walk in shower, private access to and from the garden and stunning period features. Many years ago this was the original coaching inn bar and has been transformed into one of our most light and airy luxury bedrooms.
