Motel style property with a distinct Hamptons vibe, the Gallivant is a dog-friendly hotel that ticks all the boxes.

A fabulous coastal hideaway, it is situated right opposite the dunes of the famous Camber Sands beach - a beautiful stretch of golden sand where your dog can run free. Beautifully decorated throughout with a washed wood beach side feel, the hotel is super dog friendly. The Deck rooms are particularly suitable for a dog-friendly stay which feature double doors that open onto their own private deck with enormous bathrooms and rainforest showers.

Fabulous meals and delicious fresh fish dishes are on the menu and there's a spa where you can enjoy a relaxing massage or facial with WiDEYE ethical health and beauty products. And now the Gallivant is also offering a range of experiences for you to try during your stay from yoga and pilates to hosted English wine tastings, tours and kitchen skillsl. Especially recommended is the meditation beach walk to calm and awake your senses! And should you ever tire of Camber Sands there are lots of pet friendly places to visit close by. Take a walk to the nearby beach of Winchelsea and a little further along the coast to the charming market town of Rye which is teaming with dog-friendly cafes and restaurants.

Dine with Your Dog

You dog is welcome to dine with you in the bar area of the restaurant and is also welcomed for complimentary tea and cake in the afternoons. Oliver Joyce, the head chef sources 95% of fresh ingredients from within a 10-mile radius; the fish straight off the boat daily and salt marsh meat, vegetables and fruit from local farmers who have farmed the land for generations. The Scandinavia-meets-New-England-style restaurant is light and airy space with large glass doors that open onto the dog-friendly terrace open for dining in warmer months. And if after a long day or walks on Camber Sands your four legged friend is a little tired you can leave them in the room while you eat in the restaurant.

All rooms have supremely comfortable king or super-king Hypnos beds as standard, some with private decks. This comfortable smaller room is full of natural light with a double door that opens onto a deck. The room features a king size bed and bathroom with a high-pressure shower above the bath. The ideal room for you and your dog, you will have direct access to the private coastal garden.

Individually named after a famous beach, this large room is full of thoughtful touches to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. With direct access to the hotel's coastal garden, this room features more spacious seating, a beautiful bathroom, built in wardrobe with bar area, drinks fridge, larder and Nespresso coffee machine. Double doors open onto semi-private decks with a table and chair. There is also a super king bed, sliding bathroom walls that open to expose a large freestanding bath and separate walk-in monsoon shower. This room is perfect for longer escapes!
