The fully enclosed courtyard garden makes for the perfect spot to chill out with a good book and long, cool drink while the others in your party prepare for the evening, maybe a barbecue where the chef can show off their skills with some fresh locally bought fish, or why not wander the short distance to the Gallivant restaurant if you want to celebrate a special event. This is the final stretch of the Sussex coast before it changes into Kent and all along there are glorious, golden sands. Due to the winds and tides this area is renowned for being a place where watersport enthusiasts make their own, with paddle boarding, sand surfing and hang gliding popular all year round. Camber is situated on the Sussex coast between Rye and Lydd. This part of the coastline is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and safe bathing, an ideal family holiday location. When the sea goes out there is up to half a mile of sand before you can dip a toe in the water, even when the tide is in, children can paddle safely due to the gradients of the sands. The sand dunes that protect this area are havens for picnics, giving shelter and privacy. Camber is a hot spot for watersports enthusiasts, the beaches running from here to Jurys Gap are perfect for all forms of sea and watersports, including windsurfing and sailing, hang-gliding and sand yachting, to name but a few! Two well established centres offer tuition for those taking their first plunge, and they also have equipment and wetsuits available for hire for those whose taste for the sea and its exhilarating air have already taken hold, and the car parking is free! Camber is less well known than many other towns which runs along this coastline, but still has a lot to offer visitors.
