The Bow-wow Factor

Hipping Hall welcomes furry guests, and will provide a welcome basket containing a towel, bowl, food and treats.

Nestled between the beautiful English Lake District and the rugged Yorkshire Dales, Hipping Hall is a cluster of beautiful ivy-clad buildings set in three-acres of lush green gardens. Lovingly restored, the hotel offers a wonderfully comfortable stay with a 3AA Rosette restaurant. Set in an ideal location for a countryside escape with your furry friend, Hipping Hall is the perfect base from which to explore this fabulous terrain. As soon as you set foot – and paw – out of the door, you’ll be in a doggie wonderland! Scale the Three Peaks, ramble down the deep valleys or meander through hay meadows and fields.

Cottage Rooms

If you prefer your room to be comfortable, warm and relaxing then the three Cosy Cottage Rooms are just the thing… your very own secret hideaway just across the courtyard from the main house. Once again, local interior designer James Mackie has worked his magic, this time using natural Farrow and Ball paint colours, a stunning Cole and Son Wallpaper and warm toned fabrics. Each bathroom has also been lovingly decorated making the most of a range of natural materials and is completed with a range of natural bath and body products handmade by The Bath House of Sedbergh.

Dine with Your Dog

Leave your dog to rest in the room while you sample Hipping Hall’s fabulous restaurant. Head Chef Oli Martin and his team take great pleasure in producing fabulous food perfect for the rugged borders of Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire. The daily changing menus, bursting with local and seasonal flavour, are served in an elegant 15th century dining room alongside an exceptional wine list.
