Inglenook is located in the centre of Backbarrow in the South Lakes peninsula, a perfect base from which to visit many popular attractions in the Lake District. A short drive away is Newby Bridge. This popular area is home to the Lakes Aquarium and Windermere Lake cruises.

The ’upside down’ house offers a large games room with football table, pool table, sofa and TV on the ground floor. The spacious master bedroom is also on the ground floor with a separate shower room. A short drive away is the traditional village of Cartmel, famous for its horse racing weekends and also its sticky toffee pudding. This quirky village is definitely worth a visit. Whilst exploring this area you are close to Grange-over sands, a Victorian seaside town with many shops and cafés to enjoy. South Lakes Safari Zoo is also within easy reach and worth a visit.

Backbarrow is the perfect base to explore the lakes, whether you are planning to enjoy walking a few of the 214 Wainwrights fells, cycling the fantastic roads around here or driving over to many other popular towns around Cumbria including Ulverston, Ambleside, Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere, then you really are spoilt for choice!
