The bright and airy accommodation is beautifully presented throughout and provides an ideal base for couples to explore the area. From you front door you can explore the countryside on foot or bicycle, and the hamlet is well known for its Michelin starred restaurant. This area of Fife has an abundance of places to eat from Michelin starred restaurants to award winning fish and chip shops, with many specialising in locally caught seafood and fresh picked fruit and vegetables from local farms. The area is well served by farm shops, farmers markets and a wide range of artisans providing wonderful produce ranging from Eden Mill gin, Kingsbarns Whisky distillery and the St Andrews brewery to locally produced breads, cheese, chocolate and more. These artisans sell from their own premises, the Bowhouse food market and at the numerous food festivals that happen in the area throughout the year in the East Neuk.
Within easy reach, the magnificent town of St Andrews will appeal to all ages, offering ancient buildings, feature gardens, numerous eateries, shopping, from quirky independent to high street names and beautiful sandy beaches. For golf lovers, the town also features the world famous and iconic ‘Old Course’ which is always closed to play on a Sunday (except when there is a tournament on) meaning you can walk on the links and take advantage of the wonderful photo opportunities it offers. The surrounding area is also the home to many other highly rated courses for you to play on during your holiday. Head south into the capital city of Edinburgh, with its magnificent castle and many festivals and attractions, and north to the vibrant city of Dundee, home to the Victoria and Albert museum and great shopping, both well worth a visit.
Discover the picturesque harbours and beautiful East Neuk fishing villages, which are only a short drive. The Fife Coastal Path provides walks surrounded by beautiful seascapes, an ideal way to explore on foot. You will also find golden sandy beaches and secluded coves with plenty of opportunity to stop for ice cream or refreshments on the way. There are railway stations in Cupar and Leuchars with regular services into the capital city of Edinburgh with its magnificent castle and many festivals and attractions, well worth a visit.
