Dog-Friendly Nearby

With views of the epic Roseberry Topping hill from the Inn, an ascent up to the top with your best furry friend is a must. It is however not a particularly long walk and if you have a more active dog and fancy more of a challenging walk then you can extend the walk to make it a five-hour circular walk which you can start and finish from the King’s Head Inn. Once you have reached the Roseberry Topping you can continue on to Cook’s Monument creating a 7-mile walk which offers unparalleled views, heather moorland and you may even spot a deer or two. There are also plenty of fabulous walking routes on the North York Moors - choose the Newtondale walk, a great forest walk or the May Beck and Falling Foss walk with a wonderful woodland waterfall. The walking opportunities including the famous Cleveland Way are endless and seaside towns like Whitby and Scarborough are also close by.
