About this property

A gorgeous thatched cottage in East Dorset, dog-friendly Mole’s Cottage at The Museum Inn in Dorset is the perfect dog-friendly retreat for large parties of friends and family. This five-star converted cottage sleeps up to 16 people in eight bedrooms and has its own pretty garden next door to the renowned Museum Inn, famed for its fabulous food and hospitality. With beautiful countryside on your doorstep and sandy beaches on the Jurassic Coast nearby, you can be sure of a fun-packed break for family and four-legged friends.

Dine with Your Dog

A self-catering cottage, Mole’s Cottage has a lovely open-plan kitchen with everything you might need. The open-plan drawing room and dining area is perfect for large dinner parties – you certainly won’t be short on room! The private garden and patio is also ideal for some al fresco dining in the summer. On the days when you don’t want to cook though, pop next door to The Museum Inn’s restaurant where classic British dishes are given a luxurious twist. All the ingredients used are locally sourced from the countryside and coast to give you an authentic taste. Dogs are welcome to dine with you in the bar.

Bow wow factor

Mole's Cottage's great location on the Cranborne Chase makes it a doggie wonderland for adventure-seeking pups!

Bedrooms & Suites

The cottage can sleep up to 16 people in its eight bedrooms, all of which have been beautifully decorated and feature an en-suite bathroom or wet room, luxurious Feather & Black bedding, full-length mirrors, hairdryers, bathrobes and quirky accessories. Six of the rooms have king-size double beds and the other two have zip and link twins. Like the cottage’s moniker, each room has been named after a woodland creature! Beds, bowls and a toy will be provided for your dog.

Dog-Friendly Nearby

There’s plenty to keep you and your hound occupied – with chalk downlands, ancient hilltops and sandy beaches on the Jurassic Coast. The village of Farnham is close by in rural Cranborne Chase, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is near to a number of rural market towns including Shaftesbury, Wimborne Minster and Blandford Forum.
