About this property

Surrounded by the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park lies dog-friendly Penhelig Arms Hotel in Wales. Overlooking the Aberdyfi Elizabethan shipbuilding yard, this 17th-century building features comfortable and stylish rooms, the majority of which offer fabulous sea views of the Dyfi estuary. Originally a terrace of fisherman cottages, the main house still retains a variety of rooms with distinctive character. The decor of the building incorporates both old and new, with hints of seaside blues and greens throughout, in keeping with the estuary side location. Having been awarded an AA Rosette, the hotel’s celebrated restaurant offers fantastic, locally sourced dishes, specialising in fresh fish. With Aberdyfi beach just a stone's throw away from the hotel, Penhelig Arms Hotel makes the perfect base for a coastal break with Fido in tow.

Dine with Your Dog

The hotel takes full advantage of the fabulous waterfront location when designing their menus and the restaurant has been recently awarded a Rosette by the AA for freshly prepared and local dishes. Their philosophy is that the quality of our food should be something special, prepared with passion and pride, served with a relaxed and friendly informality. Canine companions are welcome in the bar or lounge area where the menu offered is the same as the one you’ll experience in the restaurant.

Bow wow factor

The Penhelig Arms is just a 5-minute stroll down the road from Aberdyfi beach which has year-round dog-friendly areas for your canine companion to enjoy!
