The Retreat, New Forest is a characterful dog-friendly Georgian mansion on the Hampshire / Dorset border. This setting is the perfect place to unwind and participate in a wide variety of classes, treatments, experiences and workshops (we recommend to book these in advance).

Their 15 dog-friendly bedroom property is located just three minutes drive from the New Forest and is just eight minutes drive from the Dorset coast, offering canine guests the chance for countryside walks and frolics by the sea. The striking building is set in acres of idyllic grounds - a perfect playground for your dog and, once the playground of the Alice Liddel, the real Alice in Wonderland.

Your dog will love the private beach-wood walks and enchanting grounds that will make this a stay to remember for both human and doggie friends alike. The Retreat also hosts a selection of holistic classes including yoga and both the restaurant and artisan café are dog-friendly. Also close by are the Isle of Wight, Christchurch, Bournemouth and the dramatic Jurassic coast.

At The Retreat, New Forest, convenience meets tranquillity with their self-check in system, please note that there is no manned reception, though staff are on site during the day. Before your arrival, you'll receive an exclusive code, granting access to the building and your room sent directly to you via email. Self-catered cottage with walled secure garden for your four-legged friends. The cottage contains 1 king bedroom, 1 twin room and a family bathroom. There is a kitchen, sitting room & a separate dining room. Full of character and charm, this cottage also has a log fire in the sitting room. A minimum stay of 2 nights applies year-round. During Summer months there is a minimum stay of 3 nights over the weekend and 4 nights during the week.

<span style="font-size: 14px;">The Crowspotter Cafe, is a mainly plant based, dog-friendly artisan cafe where you can eat with your dog. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch, incredible coffee, bakery goods and healthy snacks. A fully plant based restaurant called Offbeet is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday serving alcohol and cocktails. Both cafe and restaurant focus on championing delicious local and organic produce. Water and biscuits are provided for dogs. We strong recommend booking Crowspotter and OffBeet in advance.</span>
