It's the ideal place for exploring Durham’s heritage coast with Sunderland. Durham and Newcastle close by. The hotel itself is set close to Seaham beach with its wide expanse of sandy beach and promenade for you and your dog to explore. It is also dotted with plenty of dog-friendly cafes including the Lookout and Tonia’s Cafe. Or if you are feeling a little more energetic why not walk the 11 mile Durham Heritage Coast Walk from Seaham to Crimdon which follows the England Coast Path National Trail offering magical coastline and grasslands too. During the summer months, you will see wildlife on the coast including seals and basking sharks. And as you wander through the woodland you will come across bluebells and snowdrops. Durham and Newcastle are also close to Northumberland countryside just over an hour away.
