Overlooking the Cheshire Plain, Shrigley Hall hotel is an elegant Georgian country house hotel set in 262 acres of wooded grounds - perfect for a dog-friendly escape with your best furry friend in tow. On the western edge of the Peak District National Park, the hotel is set on a plateau next to the delightful village of Pott Shrigley,with spectacular views of Manchester and four counties. Built in 1825 as a family home for MP William Turner, Shrigley Hall’s neoclassical building has lots of original features including a fabulously impressive staircase and a spa housed in a former chapel, built in the 18th century and designed in the Arts and Crafts style by the celebrated architect Philip Tilden. There are wonderful circular walks around the hotel it is also perfect for country pursuits including carp fishing and bicycling. Golf enthusiastcs will love the 18-hole championship golf course and there is also an outdoor vitality pool, 12 beauty treatment rooms and pitch and putt/footgolf course. The Oakridge Restaurant, boasts both fabulous views and locally sourced fayre.
