About this property

A 17c super dog-friendly recently refurbished village pub in the heart of Woodditton, just outside Newmarket, with stylish decor and modern touches to create a lovely warm dog-welcoming stay. With fantastic British food and a great selection of local ales and ciders, you will find your dog is just as welcome as you are. Expect exposed brickwork, beams, and roaring fires in the winter and a lovely walled garden for dining al fresco with your best furry friend in the summer. The old farmyard at the rear of the pub incorporates The Barn, a stylish new addition featuring six dog-friendly bedrooms overlooking the charming landscaped courtyard. The pub is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – focusing on local produce from their award-winning local suppliers. Dogs can expect a cosy blanket, some flavorsome treats from Pooch's of Norfolk, and a sausage breakfast. Please note that the hotel is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays until further notice.

Dine with Your Dog

You can dine with your dog throughout the Inn and the Three Blackbirds also offer a doggy menu. Favourite dishes include Suffolk sirloin steak, Newmarket sausage and mash, and beer-battered haddock and chips. Enjoy a fabulous cooked breakfast where your dog can enjoy a sneaky sausage too!

Dog-Friendly Nearby

With woods, fields, and heath as far as the eye can see, there are wonderful doggie walks from the doorstep. One such walk will take you along the Devil’s Dyke, a man-made embankment of earth thought to be of Anglo-Saxon origin. From the top of the dyke you will see fantastic views of the low-lying land around. Turn right out of the pub and walk along with Ditton Green and turn the corner onto Stetchworth Road, passing the water tower. About 100 yards after the water tower, there is a wooden footpath sign on the right that says ‘Reach 7.5 miles’. The footpath takes you across a field and onto a set of steps that leads up onto the dyke. From there you follow the dyke all the way to Reach, where you can reward yourself with a pint at The dog-friendly Dyke’s End pub. Other places to visit nearby include the racing town Newmarket and Cambridge are also nearby.
