The market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock and Wirksworth with their variety of attractions, shops, coffee shops and restaurants are all available within a 30 minute drive. For the history enthusiasts, the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are around 15 minutes away. The Monsal Trail for traffic-free cycling can also be reached in around 15 minutes, and for those bigger thrill seekers, Alton Towers in around 45 minutes.
