About this property

This detached single-storey chalet is situated in the grounds of the owner’s home, in the beautiful Lledr Valley at the foot of Moel Siabod in the Snowdonia National Park. This cosy cottage is in an ideal location for a romantic break exploring the whole of this spectacular mountain region. The chalet is all on the ground floor but outside there are five steps down to the front door. Once inside there is a small entrance hall which doubles up as a utility room housing the combined washer-dryer, freezer and extra fridge space additional to that provided in the kitchen. The open plan living area boasts a comfortable seating area with TV as well as there being Fibre WiFi in the property. Patio doors lead out to your own patio and garden area, where you can sit and relax in the quietness of the garden, whilst enjoying a refreshing drink. The living area leads through into a dining area with table and chairs and a well-equipped open plan kitchen, The owners welcome up to 2 dogs at Ty Nain, but as Ty Nain's garden is not enclosed and the owners having their own dog on site they advise dogs will need to be on leads in the garden. The Property is therefor not suitable for dogs roam freely within the garden. Being in Dolwyddelan village you can stroll to the late-opening general store and two pubs serving bar meals. The village has a church dating to around 1500, whilst on the outskirts of the village is the 13th Century Dolwyddelan Castle, which boasts magnificent views from its battlements. There are numerous walks in the mountains and the Gwydyr Forest and the railway line along the valley makes it possible to combine a walk one way with a return by train. The Afon Lledr is noted for trout and salmon fishing, and visiting golfers are welcome at the 9-hole course at Betws-y-Coed. Further afield is Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llanrwst which offer a wide range of amenities. For adrenaline junkies, Zip World near Bethesda boasts Velocity, the longest zip run in Europe, where you will reach speeds of up to 100mph and Titan in Blaenau Ffestiniog offers the first four person zip line. If you prefer to get your excitement in the water then Surf Snowdonia offers a range of activities at this world first inland surf lagoon. Whatever activity you choose to enjoy this chalet is the perfect base for exploring this beautiful area.
