About this property

Standing on a seven-acre smallholding in a lovely, rural location is this delightful, stone-built detached farmhouse, Tyn Llwyn. Set on a wooded hillside, this charming Harlech holiday cottage provides a lovely self-catering accommodation for families and friends. After a day of fell walking, kick off your walking boots and slump into the sofa, tuning into the TV whilst the crackle of the woodburner puts you at ease. Move into the kitchen, where you can sit at the dining table and keep the designated chef company whilst they prepare a hearty-meal, assisted by the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and there’s even a dishwasher to help washing up! There’s also a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can easily freshen up your wardrobe! On the first floor you’ll find a family bathroom and four bedrooms one with en-suite shower room and French doors leading into the wonderful garden area. Make the most of the grounds, with plenty of space for the pooch and children to run, including a seating area with fire pit and along the edge there is a river that is perfect for dipping your toes in on a summer’s day. From the door there are plenty of walks and cycle trails into the hills, making it a real haven for any outdoor enthusiast. A short journey away lies Harlech Castle, a medieval fortification built onto a rocky knoll close to the Irish Sea. Alternatively, spend an afternoon lounging on the Black Rock Sands, perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Take the short drive to the Italianate village of Portmeirion, designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis, or you can ride the little steam trains of the Ffestiniog Railway. Further afield, roughly 50 mins drive away, is the scenic Snowdonia National Park, where you can enjoy adventure at Zip World Ffestiniog. However you choose to spend your holiday time, look forward to a heart-warming escape at Tyn Llwyn.
