Waternook Lakeside Accommodation is a luxurious dog-friendly Estate in Ullswater with fabulous views of lakes and mountains. The residence is set on a private 26-acre lake fronted estate in the heart of the English Lake District National Park offering a wonderful playground for your best furry friend! The Estate has its own concierge service so you can choose to self cater or if you feel like being really spoilt in house catering, waiting for staff and a housekeeper can all be provided.  Ideal for a family celebration or for a group of friends - there are two properties to choose from depending on the size of your party. Or you might wish to book both,  Stay in the super-luxury Waternook country house which sleeps 12 and has six suites each individually designed and what's more, has its own designated doggie room with underfloor heating and mountain views! There is also a spa and wellness sanctuary, with a hot tub and infinity terrace for the yoga drawing-room, reading room, and a private cinema with Sky movies and sport.  Or choose the Great Barn -  which sleeps 8 and offers four suites. With spectacular views of the fells and lake, it offers sumptuous living spaces, a 75-inch tv in the Lake Room, and has its own terrace and outdoor gas barbeque. Beauty treatments and private yoga and pilates treatments are also available. Many other sports and activities can also be arranged.

Dine with Your Dog

You can dine with your dog in your luxury fitted kitchen with its sensational views of the lake and mountains. Or take advantage of the in house catering service. Doggie meals can be supplied by the chef on request. Waiting staff and housekeepers also available.

All the bedrooms are named after famous places in the Lake District and have luxurious fittings, breathtaking views, fabulously comfy beds, TVs and en suite bathrooms. At Waternook there are six suites sleeping 12.  On the first floor, there is Pikewasse - A Lake View Double bedroom with super king bed and Vispring mattress plus en suite bathroom and raindrop showers. Fusedale - A Lake View Double bedroom with 6 ft super king bed and Vispring mattress with en-suite shower room. Martindale - A Lake Views Double with 5 ft king size bed and Vispring mattress and en suite shower room with monsoon and raindrop showers. Boredale - A Lake View Double bedroom with a five ft king size bed with a Vispring mattress, shower room, and Lake View balcony as well as access to Waternook's Spa and Wellness Sanctuary. Hallin - A Double bedroom with 4ft 6 inch bed with Vispring mattress and en suite a natural stone shower room with monsoon and raindrop showers and views across Hallin Fell. Bonscale - A lake view double bedroom with 5 ft King size bed with Vispring mattress and en suite subterranean bathroom plus bath and separate monsoon and raindrop showers.

Dog-Friendly Nearby

With its wonderful lakeside location, the Estate has 26 acres of private grounds for your dog to play with half a mile of lakeside frontage. It is nestled on the side of Hallin Fell with fabulous walks from the doorstep. Your dog will love to accompany you on a climb to the top of the fell from where you can enjoy jaw-dropping views of the fantastic scenery. Or you could take the seven-mile walk on the low lying path to Glenridding which offers wonderful views of the lake and mountain. It has been described by Wainwright as the most beautiful and rewarding walk in Lakeland. When you arrive at Glenridding you can drop into one of the dog-friendly pubs for a hearty meal and a local Lakeland ale or two. Your dog will also enjoy a trip on one of the dog-friendly Ullswater steamers stopping off at different places along the way. Or for more energetic walkers you might want to take your best furry friend on a climb up Scarfell Pike - but not for the fainthearted!
