About this property

The traditional, dog-friendly White Hart Royal is a former 16th-century coaching inn ideally located right in the center of the historic market town of Moreton-in-the Marsh, the ideal base for exploring the famous countryside of the northern Cotswolds. As comfortable and elegant today as it was in its coaching hey-day it is where Charles I chose to visit in 1645 before the famous battle of Naseby. Its dog-friendly snug bar with its gorgeous fireplace makes the perfect resting place after a day in the Cotswolds countryside with plenty of fabulous walk from the doorstep. One of the most popular walks around town is an easy 2.2 miles walk starting at St David’s Church on Church Street just five minutes from the hotel.
