About this property

Nestled in the trees in the Sussex countryside, dog-friendly Orwell barn is a doggy haven! This barn features impressive oak beams and a gorgeous handmade timber staircase. During the Winter months, snuggle up to the log burning fire with your dog and enjoy a film. If that isn’t relaxing enough, wind down in the hot tub in the private enclosed garden! Roam the secure two-acre meadow with your furry friend or enjoy the fabulous Suffolk scenery on your doorstep and the pretty Suffolk Coast is just 30-minutes away. The cottage even provides bikes for you to use during your stay if you want to leave the car behind and take in the fresh countryside air!

There is a fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen which is well laid out with ample work surface, a fitted cooker with ceramic hob, Belfast sink, microwave, fridge and all the amenities you could wish for. There is a BBQ and tables and chairs outside for al-fresco dining and the cottage owners provide a lovely breakfast basket on arrival, plus a delicious treat for your pooch! Pets can dine wherever you are in the cottage, and Suffolk also had a wide range of dog-friendly pubs to choose from if you fancy dining out.

Orwell Barn sleeps two guests and four-legged friends are welcomed throughout the cottage, making this the perfect destination for a couple longing to escape to the countryside. At the top of the winding staircase is a mezzanine bedroom with a gorgeous painted double wooden sleigh bed. The view from the mezzanine provides you with a stunning vista of the landscaped gardens and waterfall. There is a luxurious shower room on the ground floor with a good sized powerful fixed rose ‘watering can’ style shower, WC and hand basin with luxury hand soap, as well as a heated towel rail. The kitchen area leads through to a spacious living area with a comfy sofa and lovely log burning fire and TV, the ideal spot for a cosy evening in with your pooch. The cottage comes with its very own luxury hot tub for the ultimate relaxing break. Your four-legged friend will love stretching out in front of the log burning fire and the delicious doggy treat on arrival!
