Lovely weekend break
We enjoyed a one night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Room was beautiful with everything you could need. We ate in the restaurant and food and service were of a very high standard. The hotel had a lovely county feel to it. The only two negatives were the bar. 14 for a glass of prosecco was a bit steep. There was a wedding on when we stayed who took up all of the outside seating. It also took us about 20 mins to get a drink from the bar as the wedding party had to use the hotel bar as their bar was not yet open. This really does need to be looked at. We would however definitely stay again but maybe when there isn t a wedding planned.
Beautiful hotel, just a few little errors from the staff
This is a lovely hotel, great location, lovely bedroom. We felt a little let down by some of the attention to details.
The wrong starter brought at dinner, wine glasses not topped up through the meal, a cheese board delivered with no explanation of the cheeses, a knock on our door at 11.15am the next day asking why we hadn t checked out yet when we had a noon checkout, an Invoice slipped under our door demanding full payment when we had pre-paid, repeatedly being asked by reception if we were with the wedding party (no - we weren t last time you asked and we still aren t!)
These took the shine off what was otherwise a luxurious and relaxing break.
