Beautiful hotel and have stayed before but a little disappointed this time
I love the Atholl Palace hotel and have stayed on two previous occasions, it always has really good service and a lovely relaxing and romantic atmosphere. I have to say I was a little disappointed with my room this time round. The room was very small and extremely warm. The bathroom was equivalent to the size of a cupboard in the wall with a step up into it and no window but a frosted glass door which offered very little privacy. The most disappointing aspect for me is this was our most expensive stay at the hotel. On our previous two stays we payed less money and had a much larger room and a proper spacious bathroom with a full bath. I would stay again just because I love the hotel so much but it was definitely the worse out of my three stays at the hotel.
Our stay at Atholl Palace hotel.
Very enjoyable stay, however,we were advised right up until the day we left that the spa would be closed, and instead we would receive an afternoon tea. When we arrived we were told the spa was opened, which was too late as we hadn't brought appropriate swimwear. So no spa and no afternoon tea, not very happy.
Atholl Palace
A marvellous setting with magnificent gardens and wooded areas. We had a very relaxing time and the food and service were impeccable. We only had two disappointments. The first being the closure of the Spa facilities. Had we had access to this service then our stay would have been even more memorable. The second was in relation to the room. I felt it to be a standard room quality and not a Superior as advertised. Comfortable all the same
