PERFECT 5* Relaxing Getaway at Atholl Palace
On first impression .... A very long driveway up to the Hotel. Beautiful Gardens, Leafy Green and passing Japanese Garden with a family crossing a quiet little bridge in wonder, passing tennis courts with people playing tennis. Finally reaching the car park passing tables full of people eating Sunday Lunch, or having drinks outside underneath parasols. There was happiness radiating from everyone chatter and laughter could be heard. This looks Great!!!! We finally found a parking space in the overflow car park. On entering the hotel. You go through revolving door which leads to the Reception. Everything is mapped out with arrows and, handwash was everywhere. The Staff at Reception could not be any more helpful or cheerful. There is a lift. The Room we had was large and airy. Windows looked out to beautiful views. Everything was spotless and towels were thick, white and soft. The bed was comfy and we had a Great sleep. The room was very modern. The food at the restaurant was delicious and big portions obviously prepared by a Brilliant chef who knows his stuff! Could not fault anything in the Restaurant. The restaurant was set in a huge conservatory with beautiful views to look out onto. The Staff again were very cheerful and pleasant. There are other rooms with comfy large chairs, huge fireplaces with plenty of cosy ambiance to relax in for cocktails or coffee after your meal or plenty of nature walks around outside to go a leisurely walk. Breakfast was delicious too! I will definitely be back, I really enjoyed my stay at Atholl Palace. There is also a free museum to give you the history of the hotel in the basement and a games room with a snooker table too!
