How to Make a Dog-friendly Carrot Cake
Here at PetsPyjamas HQ we never forget a birthday, especially when that birthday belongs to one of our canine colleagues. Excited to celebrate office dog Kobi’s birthday, we spoiled him with a homemade bone-shaped carrot cake. Discover how to make this delicious dog-friendly cake…

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of rice flour (or any flour your dog can digest)
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
2 medium carrots (grated)
3 tablespoons of honey
1/2 cup of olive oil
For the icing:
1/2 cup of peanut butter
Step one: Combine the eggs, oil and honey. Mix until smooth.
Step two: Add the flour and the baking soda to the smooth mixture and mix together – the mixture should be thick.
Step three: Gradually add the grated carrots until combined together well. Note that too much carrot makes the mixture runny and it won’t rise properly.
Step four: Place the mixture in a bread tin which you have already lined with baking paper. Cook for about 15-20 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius.
Step five: Once cooked place in the fridge for few minutes to let it cool down.
Step six: Cut into a shape you like – we opted for a bone shape – and spread the peanut butter on top.
Step seven: Invite your dog’s favourite hounds over for a party and present your pooch with your homemade cake.
Step eight: Let your dog (and their friends) enjoy!
