Dog-Friendly Peanut Butter (Poochbutter) Pancakes

Do you love peanut butter on your pancakes? If you find an xylitol-free peanut butter (or a fantastic pet-friendly peanut butter like Poochbutter) you can create some delicious nutty dog-friendly pancakes for your pup to enjoy too.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 100g of plain flour
  • 250ml of Water

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  3. Put your frying pan on a medium heat before adding a little bit of olive oil
  4. Add a ladle-sized amount of batter into the pan and cook the pancake on one side for two minutes.
  5. Once the mixture starts to solidify and is turning golden, flip the pancake over and heat for another minute
  6. With remaining batter, repeat this method!
  7. Time for the toppings – Chop and dice your chosen fruit ready to place onto the pancake
  8. Decorate your warm pancake by spreading the peanut butter and topping with your freshly sliced fruit.
  9. Allow your pancake to cool before serving. And hallelujah! Perfect pancakes.

  1. Add the milk, eggs, butter into a bowl and mix. Or alternatively, add the eggs, milk, butter, and carrots into a blender if you have one.
  2. After the carrots are chopped and blended, add the rest of the ingredients into the mixture. Mix or blend together.
  3. Put your frying pan on the hob on a medium heat, and use 1 tbsp of olive oil so that the pancake doesn’t stick
  4. Add some of your batter into the frying pan
  5. Cook until golden brown before flipping over and heating the other side for 1-2 minutes (until it’s also golden)
  6. Place some chopped carrots and cucumber as decoration and drizzle on your dog-friendly peanut butter. You can add a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon if you want to.

Other dog-friendly toppings that you can include on your pancakes: Marmite for savoury, apple pieces, blueberries, and even your dog’s favourite biscuits. Just make sure to avoid peanut butter with xylitol and anything that has a lot of sugar as this will upset their tums.
