Scottish Terriers are the stars of the Commonwealth Games

You won’t be surprised to learn that for everyone at PetsPyjamas HQ our favourite part of the Commonwealth Games opening were the 41 Scottish Terriers, who were used to lead in the teams from around the world currently taking part in the games.

The dogs were walked around the Celtic Park stadium with coats labelled with the team it was representing. Some trotted around the stadium twice while those whose legs had got too tired were carried by their owners. They had been recruited from dog groomers and Scottish Terrier groups, in secret, so as not to ruin the surprise for the global audience, and it seems the surprise was a hit with viewers flooding social media with praise of the pooches perfect performance.
