The Top Dog Walking Trails in the UK in 2024

A study by the popular outdoor experts, Blacks, recently revealed the areas in the UK that are home to the most dog-friendly walking trails. This was decided based on factors like the number of trails, the amount of moderate and hard trails, and the elevation of those walking trails. It was the city of Birmingham that came out on top, with 53% of its trails being declared as dog-friendly!

Watford came in second place with just half of its walking trails being called dog-welcoming. Of course, Watford has many green spaces and natural reserves to explore too, so there is no surprise as to why they ranked second. Manchester was also in the top 3 (44% of trails being dog-friendly). Other top locations included Brighton (especially for hikes), and Huddersfield in Yorkshire being the place to go for a challenge! The full list of dog-friendly walks includes:

With that being said, within this article we explore the best dog walks that can be had. Plus, we feature the most recommended Fetch. It products to take with you for the journey!

Why you need Fetch. It Compostable Doggy Poo Bags to take with you

Whenever you go for a walk with your canine companion, it’s important to take poo bags with you to clean up their messes. Unfortunately, many “biodegradable” poop bags take decades to degrade, and when they do eventually do so, they leave behind tiny micro-plastics. This is of course, very harmful to our oceans and beloved marine life! That’s why Fetch. It’s Compostable Poo Bags are a fantastic alternative. They are made of cornstarch, and so they degrade within months into natural elements that are not harmful to the environment.

Not only are the poop bags much better for the environment but also they have a brilliant design – they even have handles! With Fetch. It you can rely on the strongest and thickest bags on the market too. These can be paired with cute Dicky Bags that are robust, lightweight, and can last for years. This means you never have to worry about carrying an awkward smelly bag on your dog walk when trying to find a bin!
