The hotel is a little tired
its ok but
i feel our stay was a bit of a let down.. everything was adequate only.. after seeing the hotel online it looked top notch but when we got the everything seemed tired looking.. some staff where brill and very approachable others where just waiting for there shift to end .. one barman in particular had a really sad attitude , he never cracked a smile and even ordering a pint was a chore .. in the restaurant the evening menu seemed very small and not very good on choice.. we was there for 4 nights and only had 2 meals there and one of them was free.. you need a lot more choice concerning veg and sauces.. breakfast was ok .. your grounds to the hotel are very impressive we enjoyed them very much... you need to embrace the large patio areas more by opening up and having staff on hand to serve drinks and nibbles on a night ..the 4 nights we was was there the weather was brill but find or see staff anywhere other than indoors is not a good fit for a place like that.. you certainly need to think about the less mobile people.. you really want to look into a lift access for cases etc..small lifts can be fitted easily and will be inline with any conservation schemes attached to properties and can be discreet .. this is a must.. anyway like i say we had an ok time at your hotel with some pluses but plenty of non pluses ..and if changes where made we would gladly go back as the potential very big
thanks Gary
Nice place to stay
Lovely place to stay but a bit "stuffy". Off the beaten track so not close to any other amenities.
