Lovely break
We booked fairly last minute and made use of the excelllent location and leisure facilities. Dining was great.
Room was much better than we expected for the basic option
Lovely Hotel in Great Location
Lovely hotel, staff were brilliant, room basic but comfortable, bed far far too soft for me, bath room needed a proper clean. The spa was lovely and the food outstanding.

The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas of the UK, surrounded by breath taking scenery, scenic walks to suit all abilities, and a breadth of wonderful visitor attractions right on the doorstep.
A lake cruise is a must, and you can get to many of the neighbouring towns by boat too.
The famous village of Cartmel is just 10 miles away from Lakeside and is home to a wide variety of traditional Lakeland inns, tea rooms and cutting edge gourmet restaurants, including the internationally acclaimed Michelin Star restaurant, L'Enclume. There's also the 12th Century Priory, and a racecourse.
No visit to the Lakes would be complete without learning more about Beatrix Potter, and The World of Beatrix Potter is located in Bowness itself.
There are a number of walks that can be enjoyed from the hotel, from a leisurely stroll around the lake or Great Knott Wood, to a more ambitious hike. The hotel are happy to recommend routes nearby.
