There are 28 ensuite bedrooms in the main house with some offering spectacular views of the Morecambe Bay, and others that look out across the woodlands that lead into the Brown Robin Nature Reserve. Beautiful hotel
We had an excellent overnight stay in this beautiful hotel which was full of character, resembling an old fashioned country house. The staff were very friendly & helpful throughout. There were several comfortable lounge areas to sit & read or just relax with a drink, both inside & outside. We didn't use the spa so can't comment on that but I would've liked an indoor swimming pool as part of the leisure facilities. The hotel was very dog friendly & although we didn't bring ours we were encouraged by the arrangements made to include your dog as part of your stay. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.
Would have preferred a hotel room
The room was away from the main hotel, in the grounds. Not what a couple of 82-year olds would have wished for. Would not book through this agency again.
Highly enjoyable stay
Food very good, particularly breakfast. Room ok, however Wi-Fi very poor and smart TV not connected either so internet unusable. However the location and full days meant the lack of room connectivity was a minor grumble. Would I stay there again, yes without hesitation I would however look to book a room with a better view at front of hotel possibly.
