You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed supper with your dog by your side in the bar or out on the sunny terrace, well-behaved pets are welcome to dine al fresco while you soak up those beautiful sea views.
If you prefer a more formal dining experience, your pup can rest comfortably in your room while you indulge in a fine-dining feast in the restaurant, the team are always on hand to ensure both two- and four-legged guests are perfectly looked after.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday all year round, there is no evening bar service on these days. Breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday is continental only.

Fantastic hotel, excellent staff and lovely views
This is a little gem of a hotel. Welcoming staff, the cleanest room I have ever seen and one of the biggest bathrooms. Little chocolate hearts a nice little extra, food excellent and calling guests by name a lovely touch.The welcoming email before we got there was a nice idea. We were only there for one night I could have stayed there for a week.
Fabulous food & friendly staff
Friendly staff and a comfortable environment, with good views of the surrounding countryside. We had a Devon cream tea on the terrace, which was delicious and plentiful! We ate two evening meals and two breakfasts in the restaurant, which is excellent & highly recommended - we have eaten in many good restaurants around the world, and this one was one of the best.
The room was on the small side, and we would have preferred a king-sized bed, but we were aware of the age of the building and the individuality of the rooms. We enjoyed sitting out on our private rooftop terrace - especially as the weather was good.
All in all, an excellent stay.

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
