If you prefer a more formal dining experience, your pup can rest comfortably in your room while you indulge in a fine-dining feast in the restaurant, the team are always on hand to ensure both two- and four-legged guests are perfectly looked after.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday all year round, there is no evening bar service on these days. Breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday is continental only.

Highly recommended Hotel
We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a superior sea view with terrace, and although compact & bijou ( room 10 ) in the attic, it was a lovely room, and very quiet!
Due to Covid obviously things were different you had to let the hotel know what time you wanted breakfast then you ordered what you wanted from the table
In the evening drinks are brought to your table, where after your meal you would return to that same table, it was yours for the rest of the night.
The food was absolutely fantastic, couldn t fault it
Staff were friendly, without being obtrusive

Great place to stay
Very enjoyable break. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great for celebrating a special occasion. Could not find any faults with this hotel or the staff. Stayed in one of the split level cottages with private hot tub which was relaxing even in the dark when it was raining. Well worth a visit. Mood lighting in the rooms created a lovely ambience. Food in the restaurant was excellent and very well presented.
October stay
Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable room, very clean. Evening meal very enjoyable, with various choices on the menu. Would recommend especially if you have time to walk the costal path.

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
