My stay at the Orestone
From the first moment on arrival the Reception staff where warm and very welcoming the room had a room with a view to the sea spotless clean the breakfast was excellent the evening meal was exceptional the staff where warm and very friendly could not recommend this Hotel more highly
Regular short break seeker
The countryhotelbreaks web site was so user friendly and the instant booking facility was brilliant. We stayed at Orestone Manor for three nights with friends and we all found the welcoming ambiance to be first rate. The two rooms we had were of a classic decor with sweeping views down to the sea and every detail had been thoughtfully provided. The food from the lovely breakfasts to the evening meal were absolutely sumptuous of the highest quality. One notable aspect being the menu did not repeat over the three nights as many short break menus often do.
We will definatly be returning to this Devon gem.
Great hotel with sea views
My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay . The room was spacious with a wonderful view over the garden down towards the sea . The food was excellent in fact I would go as far to say it was amongst the best we have ever had anywhere. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend this hotel .

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
