A Wonderful Break
As soon as we arrived at the hotel set up high above Torquay, we felt the holiday had begun. We were welcomed by a very helpful receptionist who guided us through the necessary hotel and local information. Our fabulous and very spacious bedroom with a tempting view of the sea was even better than the photographs we had seen on the website. Plenty of space for all our luggage (we never travel light!) and a sunny bright bathroom - with its own sea view too.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful, it was more like being part of a big family!

A Great Gourmet weekend
Our recent stay at the Orestone Manor Hotel in Maidencombe could hardly have been better. The welcome on arrival was very friendly and informative for our stay. We were taken to our room, The Parisienne room, and it's features were explained. Dinner and breakfast times were set and we were left to enjoy the view with Torbay in the distance. the restaurant itself proved to be really well laid out and the service was attentive but not obtrusive. The meal and all subsequent meals in the restaurant were excellent. The hotel was within easy reach of a number of sites worth visiting although the access road to the hotel could be considered challenging at times. Overall a very pleasant stay.

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
