If you prefer a more formal dining experience, your pup can rest comfortably in your room while you indulge in a fine-dining feast in the restaurant, the team are always on hand to ensure both two- and four-legged guests are perfectly looked after.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday all year round, there is no evening bar service on these days. Breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday is continental only.

Great place to stay and relax
Relaxed friendly atmosphere with a superb restaurant and really helpful staff. Weather poor while we were there, but that made the attention of the staff all the better.
Fabulous
From the moment we arrived we felt valued & welcome. All the staff were excellent with a particular mention for Craig who regularly asked us about our day & future plans etc. The restaurant was excellent & the wine was very good value . We had a feature room (4) on the first floor which was spacious with fabulous views & a window seat. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, large & lovely big towels. Shower gel etc was refilled daily. The only tiny criticism was the bed which was so highly sprung & bouncy if one of us moved the other one bounced too! A solid divan base would fix that but it is probably down to personal preference! It was a very good base from which to explore & there are plenty of good walks locally but these are steep in places so bring suitable footwear! Our sat nav directed us there via many single track roads but it is far easier & quicker to go via Teignmouth from the north or Torquay from the south. We will certainly return to this hotel & recommend family & friends.

Third stay at this wonderful hotel. Gorgeous food, comfortable relaxing rooms. Helpful staff from barman to the waitress. Really enjoy the wide range of gin available. Looking forward to many more visits in the near future.

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
