If you prefer a more formal dining experience, your pup can rest comfortably in your room while you indulge in a fine-dining feast in the restaurant, the team are always on hand to ensure both two- and four-legged guests are perfectly looked after.
Please note that the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday all year round, there is no evening bar service on these days. Breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday is continental only.

Warm welcome and comfortable surroundings
We received a warm welcome on arrival and were escorted to our room. The room was a good size with a separate lounge area with chairs at the window overlooking Babbacombe Bay. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant has a good menu with all dietary options. Food was beautifully presented and promptly served. The wine selection was good with a wide range of prices and choices. The maitre dit was attentive and helpful. Staff were all pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has some beautiful paintings and objects with lots of comfortable seating throughout. Highly recommend this for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
A lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful location.
My only complaint is that we only booked 2 nights! The whole experience was delightful, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the decor throughout the hotel was very pleasing and the bedroom was very clean and comfortable, the menu was excellent and the food was well presented and delicious!
All in all a very relaxing too shorter break! We will definitely be booking again.
Lovely hotel in a peaceful setting
We were very lucky to stay in the garden room which included a hot tub. Very large room with four poster bed and lots of character. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very attentive.

How to get here
Approaching from Teignmouth
On the A379 (signposted Torquay), look for the Torquay sign (stay with main road and do not follow signs for Maidencombe Village and beach) and one mile further on, turn 'acute left' into Rockhouse Lane. There is a signpost to the hotel on the main A379 road at the top of Rockhouse Lane.
From Torquay
Follow the A379 (signposted Teignmouth) up Watcombe Hill. Then watch for Brunel Manor and turn right down Rockhouse Lane approximately 50 yards further on.
