Great place
From the moment we walked through the doors the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The hotel is in a lovely location within walking distance of Sandsend and Whitby but off the main road so no problem with traffic noise. The room was comfortable and, unusually for a hotel, very quiet. We slept well every night not once being awakened by other guests or noisy doors. Our bathroom was a good size with bath and separate large shower cubicle. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Would definitely recommend.
Ideal location!
Centrally located for visiting Whitby and the surrounding area. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and we got our room upgrade, which was a little dissappointing, on little things, such as no towel rail or hooks to hang towels or robes, no mirror to dry hair in front of. The bed was very comfortable though and breakfast was delicious with a good selection. Pick your spa times carefully as there were a lot of children and not many loungers either, but the buggy ride from the Keep made us feel like VIP. The gardens are amazing and very well kept.

I would expect to pay these prices in summer. Most of the food was good but e.g. the crab starter was poor and the onion soup was not as expected.My walk-in shower is better than the bath/shower so not luxury.We enjoyed the spa though. Maybe stay again depends on deal.
