There are fantastic walks nearby including the Kidlington Circular Walk, Piddington Circular Walk and there are fields behind the hotel where your dog can play. Blenheim Palace with its fantastic dog-friendly grounds is also nearby and you could also visit Bicester Shopping Village with your best furry friend in tow.

Dine with Your Dog
You can dine with our dog in the Baton restaurant that serves more traditional English food in a stunning setting with a glass room and ceiling of hanging plants overlooking the village green. Head chef, Liam champions locally sourced food which is beautifully presented and the menu includes Oxfordshire chicken schnitzel, the Heyford burger and there is a delicious Sunday lunch menu including Oxfordshire Rare Roasted beef or leg of Cotswolds lamb. Dogs are also welcome at the 455 which offers a large drinks selection and serves an American based menu.

A welcoming hotel
We enjoyed our stay at The Heyford. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout; we felt that our dog was just accepted as another guest (with dog bowls and treats left in the room); the location was good and the food in the restaurant was very good.
Not what you would expect but a surprising hotel
Booked as birthday present some what disappointed with location but that s my fault for not checking better. Having said that hotel was luxurious rooms to very high standard.
Gourmet restaurant was not to our liking but the full English was top draw. Location great for Oxford and Blenheim Palace so weekend ended on high.

Location & Local Attractions
The whole area is very pet friendly with the Cotswolds and all its gorgeous market towns and villages on the doorstep. Blenheim Palace is a wonderful place to visit, steeped in history and with its extensive dog-friendly parkland that hosts pet friendly events like Blenheim Palace Food Festival, Blenheim 7k Fun Run and more, with dog ice cream available for the hot summer days. For walks in the area, the hotel recommends the Kidlington Circular Walk, Piddington Circular Walk, Stoke Wood. There is also a lovely footpath in the fields behind the hotel area - popular with local residents and their pets.
