The Old Swan Hotel is packed with stunning, period features. It's one of the most famous hotels in Harrogate as it was hideaway haven for crime queen, Agatha Christie, when she famously disappeared in 1926. It makes an ideal base for exploring North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales.

First time using off peak luxury ..
This break was the first time of using Off Peak Luxury and I have been impressed all the way.
I contacted Off Peak Luxury on two occasions prior to using them (I had questions about their gift vouchers) and on both occasions I the staff were excellent. Both times getting through to someone was quick and on both occasions the staff were very helpful in explaining how the vouchers I had purchased work.
On arrival at the hotel everything was as explained on the Off Peak Luxury website. The bottle of fizz was on ice in the room, the evening meal in the restaurant food was good, breakfast was a typical large hotel affair (buffet) but with additional options to order (Full English, Eggs Benedict and so on ..no additional charges for the hot option) .so all in all very good and the offer was really great value.
As for the Old Swan Hotel, this is a grand old lady, the kind of hotel we like, old, full of character, creaky in places and some might say could do with a little TLC but I say leave it as it is that s its charm. If you like the kind of hotel that makes you feel you have been invited to a grand country house for the weekend this will be your kind of hotel.
I recommend anyone reading this review to use Off Peak Luxury and The Old Swan.
