Dissapointed
Lovely building, but seen better days. Tired and needs refurb. Vey basic ingredients for dinner and breakfast. Mold in bathroom. Towels and bedding clean, but bed not comfortable rooms were spacious. . The bar area was fine and coffee good. Really could not recommend this hotel. Sorry.

The room had no view overlooked.building work on the hotel
Hotel
The food was poor in particular the breakfast was cold had to be sent back asked for poached eggs which again were cold and undrrcooked
Deserves a bad review, apart from the lovely, polite young staff
Such a shame this beautiful building is so shabby inside, our room was tiny, clean but very tired, with a tiny bed and a window that opened an inch or two next to the fire escape.
We paid for dinner, B&B and a bottle of cava (apparently worth 36) and Midday check out. Instead we got a cheap bottle of prosecco, the dining room was lovely, yet no table cloths to hide the cheap looking tables and food that was far from great. We didn't even bother trying the breakfast, just walked up to Betty's and treated ourselves.
I hope Agatha Christie had a better room and food offering when she stayed here, great history, beautiful building, just needs some love and investment.
