Very cold room when we arrived but quickly rectified by desk staff
Wonderful stay at the Wood Norton
From the outset our stay was pretty perfect. Even the rain and the wind couldn t mar it! As we had a voucher, the hotel was very busy and we went out of season, the management were kind enough to upgrade us to the best suite in the hotel, with the biggest bath and shower I have ever seen! The bed was super comfy and the view over the garden to the hills beyond was stunning.
The hotel staff were really welcoming and the food was superb. The choice for breakfast was excellent.
The only slight downside was that the hotel is situated right at the very northern tip of the Cotswolds and so travel to some of the most beautiful areas was a little drive. However, it is close to Broadway and Chipping Campden and the luxury, comfort, friendliness and value for money make this hotel a real winner.
Lovely and welcoming country hotel
We stayed on a 2 night deal, which included a dining allowance and breakfast. We were not disappointed, the hotel is lovely, and has pretty grounds where apparently weddings can take place. The staff were professional and courteous, and the food fabulous. The breakfast choices were great and one morning I tried the haddock with poached eggs which was amazing. The evening menus were extensive and also extremely well cooked and presented. All in all a great hotel which I can thoroughly recommend. We were sadly disappointed with Evesham though which looked rather tatty and run down, hadn t expected that, however there are plenty of other nice places in the surrounding area.
