Two Day break

We were orginally booked into another hotel, but 3 days before we were due to arrive we were contacted by the original hotel informing us of building work which was happening at the hotel. As we were on a mid week stay when builders were likely to be around and because we have builders at home too, we contacted the Off Peak Luxury team asking if we could move. Professionally and quickly they booked us into Wood Norton. The hotel staff were welcoming and we were delighted to hear we had been upgraded to the Bridal Suite. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant on the first night but when we returned to the room at 21:30 there was water dripping through the ceiling onto the bed!! We called reception who were quick to contact the room above us to get the offending shower switched off. There was not spare bedding available so we had to move rooms. We were not asked if we needed help moving. The alternative room was very nice, but the whole incident took an hour. We realise that these things happen but we felt the next day, or the day after when we were checking out that we should have been contacted by the Manager, apologising or offering us a free drink or even a discount. We felt the Manager was around but was avoiding us. All the other staff we dealt with were polite and efficient.

Lovely Stay

For a last minute stay we were very pleased with the hotel, room and staff. The food was lovely in the restaurant for dinner and the choice of breakfast was fantastic but for us a little on the expensive side. We would recommend this location and would revisit.
