Lovely stay

The hotel was just lovely, the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a room In Pear Tree Mews as a late booking meant the main hotel was fully booked. We loved it. The room was clean and quite large, it had plenty of toiletries and we were told that if we needed anything from housekeeping we needed to ask at reception, this was because of Covid the rooms were not serviced unless requested. We were a bit disappointed ted with the menu in the restaurant as we had booked this hotel as we are vegetarian and the menu on the website gave us a good choice for both evenings. When we arrived the menu was limited and the choice for vegetarian was cabbage, we were not that bothered but the second choice was carrot three ways. Omg that was a surprise. For meat eaters the menu is good. But it s worth noting it was the same menu on both nights. So for us it was not good. We are not vegans so our choice is meat fish or vegan, such a shame as we have dairy and cheese etc.
Apart from that, it was a lovely stay, we filled ourselves up on the starters, sides and pudding. Plus the nice selection of wine. After the year and a half we just had, this stay was just what we needed, just shame about the food.

My partner and I spent 4 nights in the Wood Norton. We booked a package through offpeakluxury.com which we thought was excellent value for money. The food was very good, especially the variety offered for breakfast. The only disappointment was the air conditioning in our room which obviously wasn t working properly. Unfortunately this wasn t rectified during our stay, so we were a little chilly.
