Peaceful stay
This hotel was in a very peaceful location. It was old fashioned but very nice. The bar however, was very modern and quirky. Loved the decor there. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a mistake with our room. We had booked a double room but they gave us a twin room upon arrival. They did rectify this after about an hour wait and we were given a double room. We stayed fir 3 nights. On the first morning, upon going down for breakfast, there were dead wasps everywhere. All along the carpets and on the window stills and on the pelmets. Very creepy. Later on someone came and cleared them away. We did not see this again the other two mornings. The breakfast was really nice and the evening meals were quite good too.
40th Weekend
Beautiful building and setting. You have to jump in the car to do anything but when in the Cotswolds and situated here you aren't far from somewhere stunning to enjoy a lunch. We visited Boughton on Water, Broadway and Moreton.
The food at the hotel was very good, dinner and breakfast. We were however overcharged on the second night with a mix up of discounts and payment from the first night. With a big group I guess these these things happen so wasnt too concerned but it was to the tune of about 350. Some staff were excellent but we did have a few that were less so. Overall a great weekend. The suite my wife and I had was amazing and with discounts at dinner the price was very good I felt.
Lovely short break
We thoroughly enjoyed our short break at this quality hotel.
Thank you!
