Wonderful Wood Norton

We enjoyed our stay at Wood Norton and would stay there again but not in room 203 as the bathroom was freezing cold.

Good but not perfect, management please read

I really don't want to give a bad review as the staff were amazing, but we did encounter a few issues during our stay. I also feel that management should be more pro-active and supportive of their staff. People were queuing up to complain when we were checking out, but no duty manager available! Concentrating on our issues, the service and food in the restaurant were good, but my monkfish was raw, the charge of 14.95 for a cheeseboard was outrageous for the portion size. Room: our feature room was amazing, but extremely noisy and inconsiderate people above us resulted in very little sleep on the first night. Having said that, we have were extremely satisfied in the way in which the Reception Manager dealt with our issues, without any support from management. The hotel also experienced an unfortunate drainage problem during our stay, making the disabled/ladies publuc toilets unusable and unfortunately they were also located very close to the restaurant which resulted in numerous complaints, but again no sign of any management .... everyone felt that management massively let their staff down who were doing their best in very difficult circumstances.
